FiTUA: JURNAL STUDI ISLAM, Volume 6 Number 2 (December 2025) presents a variety of Islamic studies that combine classical scholarship with contemporary social dynamics. The articles in this edition show that Islamic studies do not only focus on texts, but also respond to social, cultural, educational, and lifestyle changes in modern Muslim societies. Themes of theology and interpretation form the main foundation, marked by studies of the concept of ihsan, the hermeneutics of educational verses, the construction of fiqh and kalam, and the thoughts of Al-Ghazali. On the other hand, social issues such as the phenomena of flexing, childfree, power relations in Islamic boarding schools, and gender perspectives are critically reviewed with an interdisciplinary approach relevant to today's reality. This edition also highlights the transformation of Islamic institutions and education such as Islamic boarding schools, surau, and madrasah, as well as the relationship between Islam and local socio-economic and cultural practices. Overall, this volume affirms FiTUA's commitment as a forum for reflective and contextual Islamic studies that contribute to the development of Islamic discourse relevant to the challenges of the times.
